Brian McGinnis most recently worked for the Village of Westhampton Beach as a Suffolk County Civil Service certified Network and Systems Technician. McGinnis has achieved 4 different Civil Service qualifications during his 9 years of local government experience including Network and Systems Technician, Office Applications Specialist, Office Systems Technician, and Website Manager.

McGinnis completed over 300 hours of classroom training while participating in the New Horizons Internet Professional Program in 2003-2004. McGinnis also obtained the prestigious Master CIW Designer certification by passing 3 industry certification exams.

McGinnis has been a freelance Webmaster since 2004 and has participated in the design, development, and maintenance of approximately 25 different websites over the past 9 years. McGinnis also has experience creating social networking pages or profiles for businesses, artists, and individuals.

As a photography/blogging enthusiast, McGinnis has had photos and articles published in news media and websites throughout the world wide web and print media.

McGinnis passed the Series 7 examination back in 2001 while working as a Client Service Associate at the Headquarters Branch of UBS PaineWebber in New York City. After 9/11, McGinnis moved out of New York City and back to Long Island to focus on transitioning career paths into the information technology industry.

From 1997-1999, McGinnis worked for a promotional marketing firm called GM Marketing in Atlanta.

McGinnis graduated from SUNY Brockport in May 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing Major/Economics Minor. McGinnis was also a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and NY State Champion Brockport Doggies Rugby club squad.

McGinnis graduated from Westhampton High School in 1991. McGinnis was a 2-time All-County wrestler, 2-time All-County Cross Country runner, and 12 Varsity Letter winner in High School. McGinnis was the schools representative as top male scholar-athlete for the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
